1. Company introduction

Mission & Ambition

At Parsio, we’re rebuilding the industrial sourcing brain. Our mission is to crack the industrial performance frontier hiding in plain sight: technical procurement, a space worth hundreds of billions, where even the best teams leave 15–25% of value on the table.

We’re here to change that, turning procurement into a compounding strategic asset for every industrial company. By 2035, every industrial category will have a real-time digital twin of pricing, specs, suppliers, and strategy, and Parsio will be the core intelligence layer powering it.

Business

We democratize world-class procurement performance. Our AI-powered intelligence engine combines structured data modeling, category-specific reasoning, and human-in-the-loop expertise to turn messy technical specifications and procurement into strategic procurement decisions. The result: double-digit savings and board-level procurement capabilities once reserved for Fortune 500 companies, now accessible to any mid-sized manufacturer.

Values

We operate with bold humility, curious integrity, transparent trust, and a drive for collective excellence: moving fast, challenging the status quo, and caring deeply about our work and our team.

Company

In just 10 weeks, we’ve signed 4 design partners representing $4Bn in annual spend, launched our first POCs with measurable wins, and are on track to deliver $1M in savings by end of 2025. Paid pilots start in Q4, and we’re gearing up for our seed round

2. Job description

Mission

As Founding Engineer, you’ll be a builder of the core thinking engine that powers Parsio.

From day one, you will own critical parts of our stack, from the structured data backbone to the AI reasoning layer, working hand-in-hand with the CTO and the first category experts.

Your goal: ship fast, scale smart, and make the product indispensable to our first customers.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Development: Design and implement core backend services, APIs, front-end, and data pipelines that power the procurement intelligence engine.

  • AI Integration: Embed LLM-powered reasoning and decision-making into real-time sourcing workflows. Benchmark which LLM is best suited to each part of the solution.

  • Data Modeling: Build and evolve the category knowledge graph that links BOMs, specs, contracts, and suppliers.

  • Product Collaboration: Work with category experts to translate sourcing insights into usable, high-impact features.

  • Customer Impact: Participate in POC delivery, shipping features that unlock measurable savings for clients.

Performance indicators

  • Speed to impact: Time from feature spec to live deployment.

  • System robustness: Reliability, scalability, and maintainability of shipped code.

  • Knowledge graph coverage: Growth and accuracy of structured procurement data.

  • Founding contribution: Impact on culture, hiring, and technical decision-making.

3. Required skills

Mandatory

  • 5+ years in backend or full-stack development (Python, TypeScript/Node, or similar).

  • 2+ years designing and shipping complex data systems (data pipelines)

  • Experience with AI integration (LLM APIs, vector databases, prompt engineering, librairies like LangChain, LlamaIndex or equivalent).

  • Strong understanding of system architecture and API design.

  • Track record of building and owning production systems end-to-end.

  • Using GitHub Actions and GCP (or equivalent cloud provider)

  • Using Docker and Docker Compose

  • Using MCP servers

  • Using Agentic coding (Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, …)

Nice-to-have / Willing to learn

  • Building B2B SaaS from zero to one.

  • Working in a founding team context.

Technical Stack

  • Python with FastAPI

  • VueJs with Typescript

  • PostgreSQL

4. Overall Expected Behaviors

  • Owner mindset: This is your project. Think and act like it

  • Bias for action: Ship early, iterate fast, and learn from the market.

  • Pragmatism: Elegant where it matters, scrappy where it counts.

  • Candor: Speak openly, give and receive feedback with humility.

  • High standards: Never compromise on quality that impacts customer trust.

5. What success looks like

  • By month 2: Core procurement data model live and feeding the AI engine for our first category.

  • By month 4: First customers actively using features you built to make sourcing decisions.

  • By month 12: System is scaling to multiple categories, handling complex data with reliability, and enabling 6–7 figure savings for clients.

  • You’re recognized internally as a technical and cultural pillar of the company.

6. What’s in for you

  • Own a piece of the upside: Founding-level equity in a category-defining company.

  • Build something unprecedented: Create the first AI-native sourcing intelligence engine for industry and define a new category with global impact potential.

  • Massive scope & impact: Build an AI native product from scratch: shape architecture, product direction, and company DNA.

  • Direct customer impact: See your code deliver millions in measurable value.

  • Learning velocity: Work at the frontier of AI + industrial data systems.

7. Career path

Path 1: Founding Engineer → Head of Engineering (VP track as we scale) → Lead multiple global product/tech verticals.

Path 2: Remain IC: Staff Engineer → Principal Engineer.

8. Working conditions

  • Paris: We believe the magic happens when our founding team shares the same space, so we’re building it together here in Paris, with the flexibility to work remotely when it makes sense.

  • High trust, high autonomy culture.

  • Startup pace: fast iterations, close customer contact.
