About us

Outperform your peers, by quoting better.

Relief is building the reference AI quoting platform for manufacturing running custom, project-based work.

These companies quote with Excel or intuition, with no memory of past jobs and no AI assistance. Each quote takes hours. Experienced estimators are scarce. Business is lost because response time is too slow.

Relief fixes that. Our AI assistant reads engineering drawings (PDF, step files, RFQs), structures a full quote, and dramatically reduces quoting time, enabling clients to quote 10x faster, answer more RFQs with the same team, and capture business they previously had to decline.

We start with metal sheets and tubes workers (tôlerie-chaudronnerie) because it is the most acute expression of this problem: high complexity, scarce expertise, and strong urgency to quote faster. Crack it here, and we have the proof to scale across multiple manufacturing segments in US & Europe.

🎯 Mission

As Deployment Strategist, you own the last mile between "Relief works in theory" and "Relief runs a client's quoting operation every day." You take a portfolio of clients from the moment Sales closes the deal to daily active usage: running workshops with estimators, business specialists and their sponsors, modeling their business rules into Relief's rule engine, and making sure what you ship holds up in production, not just in a demo.

This is a hands-on, technical role. A real part of the job is direct configuration work: structuring data models, building decision graphs in our rules engine, debugging edge cases that only show up once real quotes start flowing. You're not managing this work from a distance. You're doing it.

🧱 What You'll Do

1. Own client deployments end to end

  • Take the handoff from Sales and make sure the account is properly scoped before you start

  • Run discovery workshops with estimators, business specialists and their sponsors to extract business rules, pricing logic and the level of standardization they'll accept

  • Structure that knowledge into Relief's data model (catalogs, rule registers) and build the underlying decision logic (rules engine graphs)

  • Test, validate, and debug against real client cases before and after go-live

  • Train users and drive adoption until usage is daily

2. Deliver measurable value, fast

  • Track and report time to value for each deployment (time saved, quote speed, accuracy)

  • Identify and resolve the blockers standing between a signed client and daily usage

  • Keep the sponsor engaged and clear on where the project stands

  • Flag risks early and clearly. No surprises.

3. Help systematize how Relief deploys

  • Contribute to the shared deployment playbook: standard rule catalogs, templates, workshop guides

  • Turn what you learn on each client into something reusable for the next one

  • Push for automation over custom work wherever a pattern repeats

🧠 Who You Are

Must haves

  • An engineering background. Not necessarily software engineering, but you think and work like an engineer: structured, precise and concise

  • A client-obsessed mindset: the client's success, meaning daily usage, is the point, not a technically correct config nobody uses

  • Around 5 years combining client-facing delivery with real technical or data work. Open to consulting backgrounds, but real startup experience is mandatory

  • Comfortable getting into structured logic yourself. You can read documentation for a rules engine or a schema (JSON, ZOD like structures) and build with it, without needing an engineer to hold your hand

  • Rigorous project management in ambiguous, fast moving conditions. You don't wait for a perfect brief to start structuring the work

  • Strong communication with non technical, sometimes skeptical stakeholders (industrial estimators, plant managers). You earn trust in the room, not just on paper

  • Fluent in French, comfortable working in English

What sets you apart

  • Experience deploying or configuring a B2B SaaS product directly with end clients

  • Exposure to industrial or manufacturing environments

  • A genuine appetite for going deeper technically over time. This role has real room to grow as Relief's deployment capability scales

🚫 This role is probably not for you if...

  • You want to manage a team from day one

  • You'd rather brief someone else on the technical config than do it yourself

  • You need a fully defined process to be productive. You'll be helping build part of it as you go

🌟 Why join us?

  • Make a tangible impact. You'll play a key role in turning Relief's technology into real, measurable value for industrial companies, directly transforming how their teams work.

  • Build something from the ground up. Join at a pivotal stage and help shape how Relief deploys its product, from processes and tools to best practices that will support our growth.

  • High ownership, direct exposure. Work closely with Mickaël (CEO), take ownership of your projects end to end, and have a real say in how we build and scale.

  • Grow with the company. As Relief scales, you'll have the opportunity to expand your scope, deepen your technical expertise, and play a key role in building our deployment function.

📊 Success Metrics

  • Time to value per deployment (kickoff to daily active usage)

  • Number of clients in your portfolio reaching daily active usage

  • Contribution to the shared deployment playbook (reusable patterns, documented edge cases)

  • Client and internal stakeholder feedback

⚙️ Recruitment process

  1. Background deep dive: prior experience, technical comfort, problem solving style

  2. Case study: a real Relief deployment scenario. Structure the logic, spot the risk, make the call

  3. Q&A with team: fit, mindset, motivation

  4. Final conversation with the team
