Job Description

As a Co-founder CTO, your role will involve co-building the startup with the OSS Ventures team and your co-founder CEO, based in our Paris office. 

Your mission includes:

  • Understanding the pain points of industrial clients and maintaining strong relationships with them.

  • Leading the company’s overall activities to achieve strategic and financial objectives.

  • Aiming to reach €500k ARR within the first 6 months.

  • Creating the company culture, structure, and vision.

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing technical team. You will build a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability, ensuring that the technical team is aligned with the company's broader mission and goals.

  • Identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.

  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with investors, partners, and clients.

  • Ensuring transparent and effective communication with all stakeholders.

Required Skills

Technical Leadership and Vision: 5-7 years in a senior technical role (e.g., CTO, Lead Engineer) with experience leading product development from concept to launch. Proven ability to set and execute a technical strategy aligned with business goals.

Hands-on Development: 5-7 years of hands-on coding experience with relevant technologies (e.g., SaaS, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, AI/ML). Comfortable with coding, code review, and establishing engineering best practices.

Team Building and Management: 3-5 years of experience in recruiting and managing technical teams. Skilled at mentoring engineers and fostering a high-performance culture, with a track record of scaling teams in startups.

Product Development and Strategy: 4-6 years of end-to-end product development experience, including architecture, design, and deployment. Ability to translate market needs into technical specifications and product roadmaps.

Budget and Fundraising: 2-4 years managing technical budgets and participating in fundraising activities. Comfortable engaging with investors and supporting the fundraising process with technical insights.

Startup and Scale-up Experience: 3-5 years in fast-paced startup environments, ideally as a co-founder or key team member, navigating the challenges of early-stage growth, pivoting, and scaling.

Problem Solving and Systemic Thinking: 3-5 years of experience in solving complex problems and thinking systemically. Capable of designing scalable and sustainable solutions.

Language Proficiency: Fluent in English with strong communication skills; proficiency in French is a plus.

Entrepreneurial Mindset: Proactive and adaptable, with a passion for technology and innovation. Eager to take on the challenges of building a startup and making a significant impact.

Working Conditions

Regular presence in our Paris office (République) is required for the first 9 months of the startup's launch. You'll work closely with a dedicated team of experts in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Process Interview

  • Discovery phone call with Maroussia, CPO at OSS Ventures. (30 minutes)

  • Tech discussion with Quentin, CTO (1 hour)

  • Presentation of upcoming startup projects with Léopold, Head of Product.(1 hour)

  • Soft and managerial skills interview with Maroussia. (1 hour)

  • Final interview with Renan, CEO.(1 hour)
